Description
The Atlas 50006476 is an N scale Trainman 50-foot mechanical refrigerator car in Canadian Pacific paint, road number CP #286122 — second car of the CP 286xxx pair, completing a four-car CN/CP mech reefer block when run with #50006473–76.
Prototype. CP's 286000-series mechanical reefers carried fresh produce, frozen goods, and Atlantic-coast seafood through the 1980s. The action-red multimark CP scheme — introduced in 1968, used through the 1990s rebranding to the beaver shield — dates this car squarely to the 1980s action-red era. Running #286116 and #286122 together replicates a typical small CP perishables block at the back of a Vancouver-bound freight.
Trainman line. Budget tooling, attractive paint, body-mounted AccuMate® couplers, free-rolling trucks.
