Description

Prototype
The 33-foot offset-side twin hopper was built in large numbers from the 1930s onward for coal-haul service on US and Canadian roads. CP rostered thousands in the 350,000–380,000 series to move Alberta and BC coal, aggregates, sand, and ballast. The offset side wall and external posts give the type its distinctive 'ribbed' silhouette — instantly recognizable in any consist.
