Fairbanks-Morse's H15-44 of 1947 wrapped the builder's distinctive opposed-piston diesel — proven in wartime submarines — in a 1,500-hp road-switcher carbody styled by famed industrial designer Raymond Loewy, giving the type its handsome raised-shoulder profile. Monon put its FM road switchers to work on local and transfer assignments across Indiana; this model depicts Monon #36.
The Atlas Master Series N scale H15-44 pairs crisp, road-specific tooling with a smooth dual-flywheel mechanism. This Silver edition runs on DC and is DCC-ready and sound-ready with a factory-installed speaker, so you can drop in the decoder of your choice.
