GE's U33B of 1967 packed 3,300 horsepower from the FDL-16 into a four-axle U-boat, instantly recognizable by the flared radiator wings at the rear of the hood. Conrail inherited its U33Bs from Penn Central and worked them on eastern freight into the early 1980s; this model depicts Conrail #2896.
The Atlas Master Series N scale U33B pairs crisp, road-specific tooling with a smooth dual-flywheel mechanism. This Gold edition arrives with a factory-fitted ESU LokSound decoder for rich, prototype-specific GE sound on DCC and DC layouts.
- Atlas Master Series N scale tooling
- Directional LED lighting
- Blackened metal wheels and body-mounted couplers
