Description
The Fairbanks-Morse H-24-66 Train Master was a 2,400 hp six-axle road switcher (1953-57). CP's 21-unit fleet (#8900-#8920) ran fast freight and passenger service through the 1970s. This is Atlas's N scale Phase 2 model in CP Late Scheme as road number #8917, the third unit in the CP DC Train Master triplet alongside #8911 and #8913.
Features: golden-white directional LED lighting, painted safety rails, etched metal grilles, blackened metal wheels, AccuMate® knuckle couplers. DC, DCC-ready via 6-pin (NEM 651) socket.
How to use
- Any N scale Code 55 or Code 80 track.
- DC out of the box; install any 6-pin NEM 651 decoder for DCC.
- Minimum recommended radius: 11". Body-mount AccuMate couplers.
- Forms a complete CP Train Master DC consist with Atlas 40005395 (#8911) and 40005396 (#8913) — three road numbers for an authentic 1950s/60s six-axle lash-up.
