Description
Atlas #319 is a 50-foot reel of 20 AWG stranded layout wire in blue — typically the second switch-machine coil color (paired with yellow #318) or used as a distinct fourth color for advanced wiring like block detection, signal feeds, or detection-bus runs. General-purpose model-railroad wire for any scale.
How to use
- Blue is the conventional partner of yellow (#318) for the opposite switch-machine coil — "right coil" / "reverse" position.
- Also widely used for block-detection runs, RailCom feedback, or signal aspect feeds.
- 20 AWG handles DC, DCC, or 12-16V AC accessory current with margin.
- 50 ft reel — enough for a complete switch-machine harness or block-detection bus on a medium layout.
- Build a consistent color scheme across the layout: black/red track bus (#315/#316), green accessory return (#317), yellow/blue switch coils (#318/#319).
