Description
The Atlas #2814 is a pack of 24 Z-scale Code 55 rail joiners — the small nickel-silver metal slip-on connectors that hold Atlas Z Code 55 rail end-to-end and conduct power across the joint. Sized to Atlas's #2810 Super-Flex® Track and #2811 / #2812 turnouts.
How to use
- Slide one joiner onto each rail end and push together — no soldering required for casual joints, but solder every third or fourth joint for power continuity on a long bus.
- For a tighter electrical join, crimp the joiner slightly with needle-nose pliers before sliding on.
- Use insulated plastic joiners (sold separately) to break the rail electrically at block boundaries or feeder isolation points.
- 24 joiners is enough for joining about 12 sections of Atlas Z Code 55 track (each section uses two joiners).
- Compatible with any Z-scale Code 55 rail (including Märklin Z) — the standardized Code 55 profile fits.
