Each 24" section of Code 55 nickel silver rail on realistic brown ties can be curved to any radius your track plan calls for — sweeping mainline curves, gentle easements, or custom alignments that sectional track simply can't produce.
Code 55 rail is beautifully proportioned for Z scale, giving your right-of-way a refined, prototypical profile while remaining fully compatible with standard Z scale wheelsets.
How to use
- Bend smoothly to the radius you need — one hand curves it, and it holds its shape well for tracklaying
- Cut to length with rail nippers or a razor saw; dress cut ends with a fine file before joining
- Join sections with Z scale rail joiners and solder joints on curves for reliable electrical continuity
- Ideal for transition easements between straight track and fixed-radius curves
