Description
The Atlas #2715 is a left-hand standalone remote switch machine designed to screw onto Atlas N Code 80 #2700-series turnouts — converts manually-thrown turnouts (#2706, #2709) to remote operation, or replaces a damaged integrated machine on a remote turnout (#2704, #2708). (Note: this is NOT a DCC accessory in itself; it's a conventional AC twin-coil solenoid. It CAN be driven by a DCC accessory decoder like the Digitrax DS64, but works directly with AC accessory power.)
Twin-coil AC solenoid (12-16V AC accessory tap, momentary pulse). Two screws attach the machine body to the turnout's tie strip, and a small lever arm engages the points throw bar. Wire the three leads (one common, two directional) to an Atlas #56 Controller or any momentary push-button setup.
How to use
- Screw to the tie strip of an Atlas Code 80 #2706 (LH manual) or #2709 (Wye manual) turnout, replacing the manual lever.
- Wire the three leads to an Atlas #56 Controller or any momentary AC pulse source.
- Power from 12-16V AC accessory tap — never continuous DC.
- Designed specifically for #2700-series turnouts — won't fit #2750-series Custom-Line turnouts (use #65 under-table machine for Custom-Line).
- Can be driven by DCC accessory decoders (Digitrax DS64, NCE Switch-It) for digital control.
