Description
The Atlas #2567 is a 45° crossing in N Code 80 — moderate-to-sharp angle, used where two tracks need to cross with enough geometric clearance for both routes to remain operationally independent. The 45° angle is also a popular choice for visual interest in scenes where you want the crossing to read as a real feature, not just a quick crossover.
Pre-assembled with nickel-silver Code 80 rail on standard black ties. Each rail through the diamond is electrically isolated, so the two crossing tracks can be wired as separate DC or DCC blocks. The crossing piece replaces a section of straight track on both routes — plan trackplan accordingly.
How to use
- Connect with Atlas Code 80 rail joiners (#2535) to flex track or sectional Code 80 pieces.
- Wire each crossing route to its own block — the rails through the diamond are electrically isolated.
- Best for: feature crossings at industrial sites, branchline x mainline scenes, two parallel mainlines crossing a third.
- Companion crossings in the range: #2565 (20°), #2566 (30°), #2568 (60°), #2569 (90°).
- Compatible with all Atlas N Code 80 track, turnouts, and bridges.
