Atlas 2547 N Scale Code 80 Deck Truss Bridge 5" Long

Description

On a deck truss bridge the train runs across the top of the trusswork rather than between truss sides — used by real railroads where overhead clearance isn't an issue or where a shorter, stiffer span is needed (deep canyons, deep river gorges). Atlas's N scale deck truss recreates this profile in a 5" (127 mm) drop-in span.

Pre-assembled with nickel-silver Code 80 rail installed, deck-style trusswork visible from the sides but unobtrusive from a head-on layout view. Slip-on rail joiners connect to any Atlas Code 80 track. Pair with #2541 piers or alternate with the #2546 Warren truss and #2548 Plate Girder for varied bridge runs across your scenic divisions.

How to use

  • Connect to any Atlas N Code 80 track with standard slip-on rail joiners.
  • Place on top of bridge piers (#2541/#2543) at 5" pier-to-pier spacing.
  • Alternate deck-truss spans with Warren truss (#2546) or plate girder (#2548) for visual variety in a long bridge run.
  • Wire rails as part of the same DC or DCC block as adjacent track.
  • Best for short crossings, mountain trestles, or as the high end of a long graduated bridge approach.
