Description
Snap-Track plans rarely fit perfectly — there's almost always a gap between a turnout exit and the next standard piece. The #2509 assortment is the Atlas N Code 80 fitter pack: ten short straight pieces in three lengths (two 2½", four 1¼", four 5/8") that fill in those awkward gaps and let you square up any sectional layout.
Pre-assembled with nickel-silver Code 80 rail on Atlas's standard black plastic ties. Each piece has fixed-length geometry — together they cover most of the small-fractional needs you run into when building with #2500-series Snap-Track turnouts and curves.
How to use
- Use the 5/8" pieces to close gaps after #2700-series turnouts where the exit doesn't align with a full 5" straight.
- Use the 1¼" pieces for half-section fill-ins on yard ladders.
- Use the 2½" pieces for quarter-section fill-ins on parallel mainlines.
- Connect with slip-on Code 80 rail joiners (#2535).
- Pairs with #2501 (5" full straight) and any Code 80 curve/turnout for complete Snap-Track plans.
