Description
The Atlas #215 Selector is the classic Atlas 2-cab / 4-block wiring control unit — four single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) switches that let you independently route either of two cabs to any of four track blocks on a DC-powered model railroad.
Selectors can be ganged together in any number with the included double-edged jumper connectors, expanding cab control to as many blocks as your layout requires; they can also be wired as area selectors for four-cab operation. Pair with the #220 Controller for reverse-loop, wye, and turntable polarity reversal.
The Selector remains one of the simplest, most reliable ways to wire up multi-cab DC operation — and many DCC modellers still use it for shop-track power isolation and progressive train staging.
