Description
The Atlas N Through Plate-Girder Bridge models prototypes where the bridge deck is supported between two tall plate girders — giving the bridge its easily-identifiable U-shaped cross-section. Used everywhere in North American railroading for moderate-span crossings of roads, small rivers, and yards. Single-track configuration with Code 55 track on brown ties pre-installed.
Plastic kit with snap-together construction; Code 55 nickel-silver rail pre-installed on the deck. Add-on kits available to extend to multi-track.
How to use
- Drops into any Atlas Code 55 mainline run — joins with concealed Code 55 rail joiners.
- Best for short-to-medium spans over roads, small rivers, or yards.
- Stack two side-by-side with an add-on kit for double-track crossings.
- Add Atlas pier or abutment kits for full bridge approach detail.
- Excellent for layouts where through-truss bridges would be too dominant visually.
