Description
The Atlas #2058 is a Code 55 curved left-hand turnout — both routes are curved (21-1/4" outside, 15" inside radius) instead of one straight + one diverging. Curved turnouts let you maintain mainline flow on the outer track while branching off to an inner track at a continuous curve — useful for prototypical mainline crossovers and yard throats on broad curves.
Manual-throw turnout with built-in spring detent. The Atlas Code 55 turnout family is the prototypically scaled N-scale switch system — .055" tall nickel-silver rail in brown ties, concealed joiners, and matched diverging-route geometry to Atlas's Code 55 curves. All routes are factory powered.
How to use
- Use on broad curves where you need to branch off without a straight section interrupting the visual flow.
- Pair with a matching right-hand curved turnout for double-track crossovers on continuous curves.
- Inner route at 15" radius — confirm rolling stock compatibility before purchase.
- Throw manually or with under-table machine like Atlas #2065 or Tortoise.
- All routes electrically powered.
