Description
The Atlas #2057 is a Code 55 #3.5 wye (Y) turnout — both legs diverge at equal angles. Broader frog than the #2.5 wye for slightly gentler symmetric trackwork — best where the layout has room for a more prototypical-looking wye.
Manual-throw turnout with built-in spring detent. The Atlas Code 55 turnout family is the prototypically scaled N-scale switch system — .055" tall nickel-silver rail in brown ties, concealed joiners, and matched diverging-route geometry to Atlas's Code 55 curves. All routes are factory powered.
How to use
- Use for 3-leg wye geometry for turning locos or whole trains — gentler curves than the #2.5.
- Best for visible/foreground wye trackage where prototypical appearance matters.
- Pair with #2056 (#2.5 wye) if you need a tighter alternative for staging or hidden trackage.
- Throw manually or with under-table machine like Atlas #2065 or Tortoise.
- All routes electrically powered.
