Description
The Atlas #2052 is a Code 55 #7 left-hand turnout — Atlas's broader-frog mainline turnout in the prototypically scaled Code 55 system. A #7 frog gives a wider diverging angle than a #5 but smoother flow — preferred for high-speed mainline crossovers and modern roster equipment.
Manual-throw turnout with built-in spring detent. The Atlas Code 55 turnout family is the prototypically scaled N-scale switch system — .055" tall nickel-silver rail in brown ties, concealed joiners, and matched diverging-route geometry to Atlas's Code 55 curves. All routes are factory powered.
How to use
- Use as the left-diverging turnout in mainline crossovers and yard ladders where smooth high-speed routing matters.
- Pair with #2053 (right-hand #7) for symmetric mainline crossovers.
- Throw manually or with under-table machine like Atlas #2065 or Tortoise.
- All routes electrically powered.
- Pair with Atlas Code 55 curves and straights for a complete N-scale mainline.
