Description
The Atlas #2050 is a Code 55 #5 left-hand turnout — the left-side companion to the #2051 right-hand. A #5 frog gives a 30.609" diverging-route radius — gentle for the longest N-scale equipment but compact enough for crossovers and yard leads.
Manual-throw turnout with built-in spring detent. The Atlas Code 55 turnout family is the prototypically scaled N-scale switch system — .055" tall nickel-silver rail in brown ties, concealed joiners, and matched diverging-route geometry to Atlas's Code 55 curves. All routes are factory powered.
How to use
- Use as the left-diverging turnout in mainline crossovers, junction trackwork, and yard ladders.
- Pair with #2051 (right-hand #5) for symmetrical mainline crossovers.
- Use #2030 (#5-matched 30.609" curve) downstream of the diverging leg for continuous-arc sidings.
- Throw manually or add under-table machine like Atlas #2065 or Tortoise.
- All routes electrically powered.
