Description
Every N-scale layout needs at least one rerailer — and the Atlas #2001 is the Code 55 version of this essential operations tool. Each 6" straight section has angled re-railing ramps molded into the tie strip that gently guide a derailed wheelset back onto the rails as the train rolls over it, without you having to reach in and re-place every car by hand.
Sold in a 3-pack. Standard Code 55 brown ties and nickel-silver rail; drops in anywhere a 6" straight section would fit in the Atlas Code 55 system.
How to use
- Install at least one rerailer in each operating area of the layout — they are invisible from above but save countless re-railing chores.
- Place at the end of staging tracks, on yard leads, and just past hidden trackage where derailments are hard to spot.
- Joins to any Atlas Code 55 straight or curve section with concealed rail joiners.
- Works with all N-scale wheelsets that pass the NMRA gauge.
- Pair with Atlas Code 55 curves of any radius and the #2030/#2051 turnout family for full layout flexibility.
