National Steel Car of Hamilton, Ontario built thousands of 50-foot plug-door box cars through the 1970s for Canada's paper and forest-products boom. Riding on 70-ton trucks with cushioned underframes and wide plug doors, they hauled newsprint, pulp and general freight for CN, CP, BC Rail and Ontario Northland, and many soldiered on for decades in regional service.
This car wears Canadian National's transitional CNIS scheme as #413080, capturing the changeover era of CN's newsprint fleet.
Atlas Master Line tooling captures the NSC car's distinctive side sill, plug door and end detail, with razor-sharp lettering.
