Description
After their revenue freight career ended in 1983, a handful of CP Miniboxes were sold to Pacific Great Eastern (later BC Rail) and converted to Maintenance of Way (MOW) service. Painted in BC Rail's distinctive MOW scheme as BCOL equipment, road number #993020, they became distinctive work-train and tool-storage cars on the BC Rail system. Atlas's HO Master Series captures this niche prototype perfectly in 1:87.
Detailed with separately-applied ladders and brake hardware, Youngstown-style doors, factory AccuMate® couplers.
How to use
- Runs on any HO scale Code 83 or Code 100 track; minimum recommended radius 18".
- AccuMate couplers swap directly with Kadee #5/#148.
- Era: 1980s-2000s BC Rail Maintenance of Way service — perfect for modern work train and tool-car scenes.
- Collect all three BCOL MOW road numbers (#244397, #993020, #993024) for a complete work train.
- Pair with BC Rail or Pacific Great Eastern locomotives and other MOW equipment for a prototypical BC Rail work train.
