GE's U36B packed 3,600 horsepower onto a four-axle frame. Built from 1969 to 1974, it became famous hauling Auto-Train's vacation specials and Seaboard's fast Florida freights.
CSX inherited its U36Bs from Seaboard predecessors, keeping the fast four-axles busy on Southeastern freight. Atlas's Master Series HO model depicts CSX #5713.
