Description
The PECO Lectrics Twistlock point motor — a re-engineered solenoid motor with the same basic operating principle as the venerable PL-10, but with two convenience upgrades: it twists onto the turnout (no soldering, no large baseboard hole) and it has plug-fit terminals (no soldering on the wiring side either). Powered from a normal 16 V DC supply (up to 3 A); compatible with all PECO turnouts up to O gauge, and many other manufacturers' turnouts.
How it differs from the PL-10
- No baseboard hole to cut — the Twistlock fastens onto the turnout from below by quarter-turn.
- No soldering — push-fit terminals.
- 16 V DC rather than AC + CDU.
