Description
The NCE 5240115 Snap-It Accessory Decoder for Single Twin-Coil Switch Machine is the Snap-It — a small DCC accessory decoder that controls one twin-coil snap-type switch machine (Atlas, Peco PL-10, Kemtron, etc.).
What it does: Capacitive discharge keeps track-power current draw low while still throwing the switch machine reliably. Two local-control pushbutton inputs let you also operate the turnout from a panel switch. Control switches from any DCC cab or local pushbutton.
- Type: Accessory (stationary) decoder
- For: One twin-coil 'snap' switch machine (Atlas, Peco PL-10, Kemtron)
- Drive: Capacitive discharge — coil-safe, low track-power current draw
- Local control: Two pushbutton inputs
- NCE part: 5240115 (Walthers 524-115)
Tip: For four twin-coil machines on one board, step up to the Q-Snap (5240153). For Tortoise / SMAIL stall motors, use the Switch-It Mk2 (5240154) or Switch8-Mk2 (5240151) instead.
