Description
The KATO 20-400 is a 2-pack of N Unitrack 248 mm (9-3/4′′) single-track straight viaduct sections — a track + elevated stone-pier roadbed combined in one drop-in piece, modelling the elevated reinforced-concrete viaducts of modern Japanese mainline practice.
Prototype: Elevated viaducts run the Tokyo Yamanote line, the Shinkansen mainlines, and most other Japanese commuter rail through urban areas — ribbon-of-rail above the city streetscape. The structural arches and stone-faced columns reproduce the prototype look.
KATO N Unitrack system: Code 80 nickel-silver rail molded into a factory-attached ballasted plastic roadbed, with integrated UniJoiners. Unitrack is KATO's flagship N-scale track system.
