Description
The Kadee #39 is part of the 30-Series — Kadee's plastic knuckle couplers with the same proven head design and magnetic uncoupling as their metal siblings, molded in tough engineering plastic. The plastic construction is electrically insulated, making these the answer for installations where a metal coupler could cause a short — lighted passenger cars, metal-bodied equipment, and older locomotives with live frames.
This version carries a Long (25/64") overset shank: the head sits higher than the shank, which lets you correct a coupler that mounts too low without shimming trucks or modifying the car.
