Description
The Kadee #247 is a hand tap and drill set for the 1-72 machine screw thread — the middle size in the model railroad fastener family, ideal for HO coupler and truck mounting. High-speed steel construction, sized for hand turning in a pin vise. Tap clean, straight threads in styrene, brass, and zamac without breaking the tip.

How to use
- Drill the tap hole with the #53 drill, then turn the tap in slowly, backing off a quarter-turn regularly to clear chips
- Use light oil when tapping metal; tap dry in styrene
