Description
The InterMountain 60051 is a 12-pack of N scale 36" machined brass insulated wheelsets with 0.554" axle length — premium replacement wheels for upgrading plastic-wheeled freight cars to free-rolling, conductive metal wheels.
What it does: Drop-in replacement for any N-scale truck using 0.554" axles ('Alex length'). Machined brass wheels are smoother-rolling, heavier (improves tracking), and electrically conductive (for DCC-friendly resistor-wheel installations to keep blocks 'occupied' after the loco passes). One axle of each pair is electrically isolated to prevent shorts.
