Description
The Circuitron 5703 BR-3 Digitally Recorded Grade Crossing Bell with Speaker is a complete digitally recorded grade-crossing bell sound module — speaker included — that adds prototype-accurate ringing-bell audio to any crossing scene.
What it does: Plays back a digital recording of a real prototype crossing bell, triggered by any Circuitron grade-crossing detector (DT-2 / DT-3) or any other logic-level source. Speaker included.
- Sound: Digitally recorded prototype crossing bell
- Speaker: Included
- Triggered by: DT-2 / DT-3 detection circuits or any logic-level signal
- Power: 12 V DC (from PS-2 5302 or any 12 V DC supply)
- Circuitron SKU: 5703 (Walthers 800-5703)
Tip: Mount the speaker under the layout near the crossing, with a small port hole through the scenery for the most prototype-sounding result.
About Circuitron: A USA-made model-railroad electronics specialist (Maryville, Illinois) founded in the 1970s. Famous for the industry-standard Tortoise slow-motion under-table switch machine and its surface-mount cousin the SMAIL. The full range covers detection (block detectors, Opto-Sensor grade-crossing logic), automation (auto-reversers, external relays, twin-coil alternators), signal / lighting electronics (alternating flashers, ditch-light oscillators, strobe drivers), power supplies, and a complete set of Tortoise / SMAIL replacement parts plus the solderless ZipZ connection system. Most circuits work with AC, DC, or DCC track power unless specifically noted otherwise.
