General Electric introduced the ES44 in 2002 as the flagship of its Evolution Series, and with close to 8,000 units built the ES44AC became one of the most successful modern road locomotives in North America. Broadway Limited's all-new HO scale ES44AC follows the approach of its popular diecast EMD SD70ACe: a diecast body and chassis, brass handrails and horn castings, road-specific details and premium painting. This model wears BNSF's "Liberty" America 250 commemorative scheme, a red-white-and-blue salute to the nation's 250th anniversary, lettered for BNSF Railway #1776.
The Stealth Series version is a no-sound, DCC-ready model built on the same all-new diecast tooling — ready to run on DC straight out of the box and easy to upgrade with the decoder of your choice. Headlight, rear light and ditch lights are included.
