The 100-ton open hopper is a mainstay of modern bulk railroading, hauling coal, coke, ore and aggregates in heavy unit-train service on high-capacity 100-ton trucks. Its tall, sloped-end body made it one of the most common open hoppers on North American rails from the 1960s onward.
Bowser's HO Executive Line 100-Ton Hopper returns newly tooled, now featuring wire grab irons, coupler cut bars, air-line detail, improved brake-wheel detail and brand-new trucks, with road-specific paint and lettering. It rides on RP25 metal wheels and is equipped with knuckle couplers.
