The Atlas 50006475 is an N scale Trainman 50-foot mechanical refrigerator car in Canadian Pacific paint, road number CP #286116 — a Canadian Pacific counterpart to the CN 231xxx pair, in CP's action-red scheme of the 1980s.
Prototype. CP's 286000-series 50-foot mechanical reefers worked produce and frozen-goods traffic from western Canada and the U.S. west coast through the 1980s and into the early 1990s, before refrigerated intermodal containers displaced the conventional mechanical reefer. The 286xxx series carried CP's action-red livery with the multimark logo, a striking contrast to the CN 231xxx noodle scheme — making a CN/CP mech reefer block visually rich on a transition-era layout.
