Description
Atlas #312 is a 50-foot (15.2 m) 5-conductor ribbon-wire bundle — five individually insulated conductors fused side-by-side into a flat ribbon, the same wire Atlas supplies with its remote-control turnouts and Snap-Relay accessories. Buying a fresh roll lets you wire long runs without splicing and lets you keep your circuits color-coded as you go.
Useful in any scale (HO, N, Z, S, O) and on any layout — DC, DCC, or AC accessory. Despite Shopify's category tag, this is general-purpose layout wire, not a DCC-specific product.
How to use
- 50 ft total length — fan out one ribbon to several accessories without joining short pieces.
- Run alongside other Atlas turnout machines (#65 under-table, #80 above-table, Snap-Relay #200) where the factory-supplied harness is too short.
- Strip individual conductors with a 22 AWG / 24 AWG wire stripper; solder or insertion-crimp into your control panel terminals.
- Color-keyed conductors make it easy to track "left coil / right coil / common / signal / accessory" runs on a control panel.
- Works at any voltage your layout needs — DC track power, DCC, or 12-16V AC accessory.
