Description
The Atlas #288 is an HO Code 100 Curved Right-Hand Custom-Line Mark IV turnout — the right-hand mirror of #287. Both routes are curved, so the turnout fits inside an existing curve without breaking the radius — perfect for inside-curve sidings, staging-yard throats, and crowded engine terminals where space is tight.
The Mark IV upgrade brings die-cast metal points and a die-cast metal frog with a power-routing tab on the underside.
How to use
- Drive remote with Atlas's Code 100 switch machine, or under-table with a Tortoise™.
- For DCC-friendly operation, leave the frog isolated; for power-routing operation, solder a feed wire to the underside frog tab.
- Use inside an existing curve to add a siding or staging fan without breaking the curve flow.
- Pair with the left-hand curved #287 for mirrored staging throats, and with straight #285/#286 for ladder geometry.
- Compatible with all HO Code 100 track via standard rail joiners.
