Description

The Atlas #2790 is an N scale manually-operated turntable, fully assembled — a 7-1/2" diameter (≈22" prototype) deck with 21 indexed track positions in 15° increments. A Geneva-style indexing mechanism locks the bridge in exact alignment with each radial track every time, eliminating the wheel-stub headaches that come from sloppy hand-aligned turntables.

The pit ring is molded in simulated concrete gray; the bridge deck is finished in weathered wood brown. Out of the box it's hand-cranked; add the matching #2791 Motor Drive Unit for under-table powered operation.

How to use

  • Pre-assembled — drop in to a 7-1/2" hole cut in your benchwork. Feed power across the bridge from your DC pack or DCC bus.
  • The 15° spacing matches the stall spacing of the Atlas #2843 N 3-Stall Brick Roundhouse — pair the two for an instant N-scale engine terminal.
  • Add Atlas #2791 for motorized operation (gear-driven from under the table).
  • Rail is nickel-silver and accepts Code 80 sectional or flex via standard joiners.
  • Maximum locomotive length: roughly 6.5" coupler-to-coupler (most 4-axle road switchers and most 6-axle SD/Big Boy-class Ns fit).
