Description
The Atlas #2540 is a 2 oz (56.7 g) pack of Atlas track nails — #19 gauge blackened steel, 1/2" long, with a small round head sized to drop neatly into the pre-drilled tie holes on Atlas N and HO scale flex track.
The blackened finish disappears against weathered ties; the small round head won't fight ballast or scenic detail; and the half-inch length is the right depth for nailing flex through cork or foam roadbed into a plywood / homasote subroadbed without coming out the other side.
Use a small hammer or push-pin driver — never over-drive or you'll bow the rail gauge. Compatible with Atlas, Micro Engineering, Peco and most other manufacturers' N and HO flex track.
