Description
Rail joiners hold two pieces of track together mechanically and conduct power between them. The Atlas #2535 pack contains 48 nickel-silver joiners sized for Code 80 N scale rail — the standard joiner for any Atlas N Code 80 layout (Snap-Track, Custom-Line, or Super-Flex).
Use these whenever joining Code 80 flex track, sectional pieces, turnouts, or crossings. The 48-piece count supports a substantial layout — about 24 rail joints, enough for a moderate-sized oval with sidings.
How to use
- Slip onto rail base by hand or with needle-nose pliers — do not crimp shut, snug fit is enough.
- Solder a feeder wire to the joiner before installing for a permanent power-feed point.
- Use Atlas #2538 (insulated) instead wherever you need to electrically isolate a section (reverse loops, block boundaries, frog feeds).
- Code 80 only — do not use on Code 55 (use #2090 for Code 55 instead).
- Pair with Atlas #2539 power-feed joiners to combine mechanical join + power feed in one piece at chosen feeder points.
