Description
The Atlas #22081 is a pair of N scale Talgo-type 70-ton roller-bearing trucks with Accumate® knuckle couplers and an extended bolster — designed for cars whose body or sill clearance requires a taller truck-to-floor mounting offset than the standard #22076.
The extended bolster raises the car body relative to the truck centreplate, fixing the “too-low” stance you sometimes get when swapping factory trucks on cylindrical hoppers, tank cars, and certain deep-sill freight equipment. Truck-mounted Accumate® couplers swing with the truck on tight curves and are body-shape compatible with Micro-Trains® Magne-Matic® and NMRA Type-E.
Engineering-plastic sideframes and needle-point axles — no lubrication required.
