Description
The Atlas #22071 is a pair of N scale Talgo-type freight-car trucks with Accumate® knuckle couplers pre-attached to the truck sideframe — the original-style truck-mounted-coupler design used on Atlas N scale rolling stock since the 1990s.
Truck-mounted (Talgo) couplers swing with the truck through tight curves, helping shorter cars stay coupled around N scale's typical 9¾" / 11" radii. The Accumate® coupler is body-shape compatible with Micro-Trains® Magne-Matic® and NMRA Type-E knuckle couplers, accepts magnetic uncoupling, and is factory-mounted at the correct height.
Slippery engineering-plastic sideframes and needle-point axles run smoothly without lubrication. Direct swap-in for any Atlas / Atlas Trainman N scale freight car using truck-mounted couplers; available in several sideframe styles to match your prototype.
