Six pieces of 10" radius Code 55 curve — a half curve section in Atlas's smooth, prototype-look Code 55 system. Half-arc fitter for the 10" radius — half the angle of a Full Curve, used to tweak the overall arc angle.
Sold in a 6-pack of Half Curve sections at 10" radius. Atlas Code 55 is the prototypically scaled N-scale track system, with .055" tall nickel-silver rail set in brown ties for a far more realistic appearance than Code 80. All rail joiners are concealed within the tie strip, giving smooth, hidden transitions between sections. Compatible with all modern N-scale equipment (Atlas, Kato, MicroTrains, current Bachmann, etc.); some older deep-flange stock may bind on Code 55 — check wheels first.
How to use
- Use as the 10" radius arc in your mainline curve — combine 6 Full Curves to make a 67.5° quarter-circle, or 32 to make a full loop.
- Half Curves at the same radius are the matching fitter — drop one in to make non-standard angles.
- Joins to any Atlas Code 55 piece with concealed rail joiners.
- Minimum rolling-stock compatibility: most modern N equipment runs fine on 10" radius; longer 6-axle locos and 89' flats prefer the larger radii (15"+).
- Mix with shorter Half Curves of the same radius for fine geometry; transition to Code 80 with Atlas Code 55-to-80 transition joiners (#2538).
