Description
Six pieces of 6" straight Code 55 track — the building block for tangents, sidings, and yard ladders on any N-scale layout. Atlas Code 55 is the prototypically scaled N-scale track system, with .055" tall nickel-silver rail set in brown ties for a far more realistic appearance than Code 80. All rail joiners are concealed within the tie strip, giving smooth, hidden transitions between sections. Compatible with all modern N-scale equipment (Atlas, Kato, MicroTrains, current Bachmann, etc.); some older deep-flange stock may bind on Code 55 — check wheels first.
Sold in a 6-pack of 6" sections. The 6" length is the workhorse straight — most tangents are built up from these.
How to use
- Use 6" sections to fine-tune the length of any tangent — they slot between longer straights to make exact distances work out.
- Joins to any Atlas Code 55 piece with concealed rail joiners — solder for permanent installations or leave loose for sectional layouts.
- Pin or glue to cork or foam roadbed; ballast with Woodland Scenics Fine Ballast and Scenic Cement.
- Works with all N-scale rolling stock that meets the NMRA wheel-flange standard.
- Pair with Atlas Code 55 curves of any radius and the #2030/#2051 turnout family for full layout flexibility.
