Description
The Atlas Snap Relay is a double-pole double-throw (DPDT) relay actuated by a momentary-power twin-coil solenoid — the same mechanism as Atlas’s remote turnout solenoids. Use it as an electronic switching element for layout wiring.
How to use
- Wire one solenoid coil to each direction of a momentary push-button or Atlas controller.
- The relay flips one of two contact pairs each time the appropriate coil pulses.
- Common applications: power routing for reverse loops or staging yards, signal logic, frog polarity switching, or coupling multiple turnouts to throw together.
- Power solenoid coils from a 12-16V AC accessory tap (not continuous DC).
- Compatible with Atlas Code 80, Code 83, and Code 100 turnout control circuits.
