Kato preorders — upcoming N scale releases from Kato USA and Kato Japan, announced monthly. Current runs are the N August 2026 releases (including CN-painted GE ES44AC units) and the Japan August 2026 releases. Kato locomotives feature smooth 5-pole motors with flywheels, directional lighting and DCC-friendly designs that accept drop-in decoders; passenger sets are designed for Kato's optional interior lighting kits.

A 25% deposit reserves your road numbers at checkout; the balance is charged when the models ship from our Oakville warehouse. You can cancel within 7 days of ordering for a full refund. After that, a cancellation fee of 10% of the item price is deducted from your deposit, and the rest is refunded. If the manufacturer cancels the item or the expected ship date moves back by more than 90 days, you can cancel at any time for a full refund.
