Orange and green is the paint scheme of modern North American railroading, and a BNSF roster is built the same way the prototype is: heavy six-axle power on the point and long strings of covered hoppers and box cars behind it. The decision most modellers make first is HO or N, and this collection is close to evenly split between the two.
Rapido dominates the locomotive side. The SD70MAC in the H3 scheme, modelled as the SD70MACe rebuild, runs through a block of road numbers — #9725, #9721 and #9717 among them — in both DC/DCC/Sound and DC/Silent versions, so you can match a decoder plan you already have. Broadway Limited Imports adds the 10001 HO EMD GP35 (GP39-2) #2910 in modern appearance with Paragon4 sound.
For freight, Bowser's N scale 100-Ton Hoppers cover a run of numbers including #616380 and #615966, the Atlas Trainman N Thrall 4750 Covered Hoppers pick up #430801 and neighbours, and the Micro-Trains 101 100 826 Freedom 40' smooth-side high-cube box car rounds out the N scale side. A number of these are Rapido, BLI, Bowser or Atlas pre-orders, taken with a 25% deposit and the balance due when they land.
