The first F59PH ever in N scale. Rapido's GMD F59PH is the commuter locomotive built for GO Transit's BiLevel trains — a 3,000 hp 12-710 prime mover with a separate head-end power engine — and it went on to serve commuter agencies across North America. Eleven paint schemes: GO Transit green and white, AMT Montréal in both the early grey and late blue schemes, West Coast Express, Altamont Commuter Express, Caltrain, Coaster, Metrolink, Metra, Trinity Railway Express and Tri-Rail, one to four road numbers each. Every road number comes as DC/Silent (DCC-ready) or with a factory-installed ESU LokSound DCC/Sound decoder.
Scaled from field measurements and blueprints with a unique F59PH body, separate wire grab irons, full underbody piping, and working headlight, ditch lights and red marker lights; a prototypically spaced non-working ditch-light anti-climber is included for display. Now in production — expected arrival: Fall 2026. 25% deposit at checkout, balance charged when your order arrives. Ships from Oakville, Ontario.
