HO scale (1:87) is where most modern model railroaders run their locomotives, and our HO Locomotives collection covers diesel, steam and electric prototypes across DC, DCC and DCC/Sound. We curate from the brands that build runners, not shelf queens: Rapido Trains, Atlas, Bachmann (Spectrum and standard), Bowser, Broadway Limited Imports and ScaleTrains.

Canadian content runs deep here. We stock Rapido's Canadian-prototype specialties — MLW FPA-4/FPB-4 sets in CN livery, EMD SW9 switchers in CN post-54 black, BC Rail M420 + M420B sets, and CP Royal Hudson steam. American prototypes include EMD SW9s, SD9s, GP35s, GE C36-7s and modern ES44ACs in CP, CN, UP, BNSF and Norfolk Southern paint. Steam is represented through Bachmann Spectrum and Broadway Limited Paragon4 lines. Most modern releases ship with ESU LokSound DCC/Sound factory-installed.
