Description
The Rapido 191003 is an HO scale 6-pack of Trenton Works 6637 cuft combination-door boxcars in BC Rail livery — faded w/conspicuity stripes variant, 6-pack set #1.
Prototype: The 6637 cuft combination-door boxcar was built by Trenton Works (Trenton, Nova Scotia) in 1995 specifically for BC Rail's lumber service — the combination plug + sliding door design lets the car handle bulk lumber loads through the wide opening while keeping the interior weather-tight via the plug door. BC Rail's fleet handled finished lumber out of BC interior mills bound for North American distribution.
Variant: weathered / faded paint with conspicuity stripes (post-1995 era).
