Description
A PECO N (1:160) Code 80 Streamline curved right-hand turnout with Electrofrog.
Electrofrog: the entire frog is live nickel-silver. There's no dead-spot, so short-wheelbase locomotives crawl across it without hesitation. The tradeoff is wiring — for DCC, isolate both diverging-route rails just past the frog (use PECO insulated joiners), and switch the frog polarity from the point motor or a frog-juicer.

Wiring & DCC
- For DCC: insulate both diverging-route rails immediately past the frog with PECO insulated joiners (SL-11 / SL-111).
- Switch frog polarity from the point motor's auxiliary contacts (PL-13 / PL-15), or use a frog-juicer (e.g. Tam Valley Frog Juicer) for autosensing.
- For DC, no special wiring is needed in most cases.
Compatible motors
- PL-10 below-baseboard solenoid motor (requires a 40 × 24 mm cut-out).
- PL-11 side-mounted solenoid motor — clips on without drilling, ideal for OO/HO Setrack layouts.
- PL-1000 series Twistlock motor for an even simpler retrofit.
- For DCC turnout control, drive any of the above with an accessory decoder (NCE Switch-It, Digitrax DS64, etc.).
