Description
The Micro Engineering 75-509 is a HO scale unassembled kit of a 90′ City Viaduct (Single Track) — the prototype's geometry, web depth, and rivet detail captured in injection-moulded engineering plastic and metal.
About city viaducts: Elevated railroad through urban areas — repeating short spans (~30′ each) carried on concrete columns or short pilings. Think Chicago L, New York Lehigh Valley elevated, Penn-Central / NJT lines through Jersey, late-1800s steel-and-stone city work everywhere. Common where the line had to be raised above grade-level streets for safety and traffic flow.
Kit contents: Engineering plastic / metal bridge components and instructions. Unassembled and unpainted — assemble per instructions, paint your railroad's bridge colour (railroad-tuscan, black, olive drab — era and road dependent), then lay ME Bridge Flex Track (#11-1xx series, with wide ties and guard rails) on top to finish.
