The KATO 80054L is a 2-pack of N scale 53-foot intermodal containers in Canadian National (CN) paint — the standard high-cube 53′ domestic intermodal container, the dominant freight container of modern North American railroad service.
Prototype: 53′ high-cube intermodal containers are the modern workhorse of the domestic intermodal market — replacing both the older 40′ ISO international containers and 48′ domestic containers in most service. Stacked two-high on doublestack well cars (or 5-high in some unit trains), they carry consumer goods, food, and parcel freight from West Coast ports and Canadian gateways across the continent.
